Officer injured in crash during funeral procession along northbound I-11 near Sunset
Travel lanes remain blocked near Sunset Road; traffic cameras show damaged Metro cruiser.
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An officer was injured following a crash during a funeral procession for a fallen officer along a Henderson freeway Friday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident was reported just before 10:30 a.m. along northbound I-11 before Sunset Road and involved two patrol vehicles. Multiple vehicles were on scene to assist with the funeral procession of Officer Austin Abdelnabi.

One officer was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All lanes were initially blocked following the crash, but two have since reopened. Motorists are urged to use caution in the area as emergency vehicles remain on scene.
