LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An “overwhelming” flood of players has forced a Las Vegas Strip casino to prematurely end its viral $200 Free Slot Play promotion after the offer reached capacity far earlier than planned.
A viral $200 Free Slot Play promotion at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino has concluded early after triggering massive crowds and overwhelming demand, casino officials confirmed Thursday.
Originally designed as a one-time offer for new and existing Treasury Players Club members, the promotion gave guests $200 in free play to be used within 24 hours on a Monday through Wednesday.

However, officials say the offer reached its planned capacity much faster than anticipated. Social media footage quickly spread showing massive, winding lines of hopeful players, with casino staff forced to cut off the lines at various points to manage the crowd.
Following the end of the promotion, Treasure Island officials emphasized that they plan to continue launching new, high-value promotions designed to deliver a fun, energetic, and guest-focused experience.
