The girlfriend had called police to report the incident, which she said started after he found “things on her phone he did not like,” and began punching, slapping, and kicking her.
According to the arrest report, the girlfriend left the apartment and went to the apartment’s front office for help and to wait for police.
Officers noted her injuries and took a report, offering her domestic violence resources as well, according to an incident report. The woman refused to be taken to the hospital.

The next day, Swain was observed in another argument with his girlfriend outside of a Walmart on Boulder Highway, near Nellis, when he began exchanging words with two other suspects in the case, Raqiya Smith and Amena Blue.
A fight broke out from there, during which punches and rocks were thrown, according to police.
At one point, Smith stepped away from the fight to call her husband, Travis Ward, to come help. When Ward arrived, police say Smith pointed out Swain to him, and Smith walked into the store and shot him in the stomach.
According to the report, he attempted to fire again but the gun malfunctioned.
An arriving police officer saw Ward leave the store with the gun and fired his own weapon at him, striking and killing him.
Swain was hospitalized with critical injuries, where he remains in treatment. While at the hospital, according to the arrest report, police confirmed his involvement in the domestic disturbance and booked him in absentia.
His next hearing has not been scheduled at time of writing.
