LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Get a first look inside Vinyl Room, the newest addition to Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, through newly released videos of the venue, set to open Saturday, Aug. 8.
A Memphis-based artist, Colleen Couch, installed a custom wheatpaste poster wall by hand, according to a release.
A staple of music culture, wheatpaste postering layers concert and artist posters to create a visual archive — a tradition Vinyl Room brings indoors as part of its design celebrating Las Vegas’ entertainment legacy, said officials.

Organizers say the wheatpaste wall is one of several elements meant to immerse guests in the city’s musical heritage.
Curated vinyl records, music memorabilia and bespoke design throughout the space pay tribute to artists who have helped shape the Las Vegas soundtrack, according to the release.
Vinyl Room is billed as a modern take on a Japanese-inspired listening lounge, blending music, dining and nightlife under one roof at Mandalay Bay.
