Historic Heat Wave Continues
Forecast Outlook - 07/08/24
Good Morning,
It has been a historic summer so far in Las Vegas with June being the hottest on record and hitting 120° yesterday.
We’ll continue to track temperatures near to above 115° through Friday, before signs of the monsoon and a slight cool down take place.
The excessive heat warning will now expire at 11 PM Thursday for the viewing area. The heat advisory for Mt. Charleston and the Sheep Range will also expire 11 PM Thursday.
We’ll keep a close watch on temperatures coming close to 120° on Thursday, but we’ll likely fall short of the all-time record high.
The average is 104° for this time of year.
Listen to your body and give yourself breaks throughout the day. This is a historic heat wave that will continue through the rest of the week.
