Forecast Outlook

An upper level low is moving into the Las Vegas Valley for the next few days and will produce weather conditions we are more used during the winter months.

The storm blowing into the valley already started to have an impact on us Saturday as the winds started to kick up around our area.

A Wind Advisory will be in effect from 11 AM until 11 PM for our local mountains and strong wind gusts will also affect Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City.

Once the advisory ends the rain moves in and as it looks right now the potential is for showers on and off for most of the upcoming week.

We could set some rainfall records over the next few days.

Computer models suggest anywhere from about half inch to more than one inch of rain by the time the low pushes east.

The heaviest rainfall days will likely be Tuesday through overnight Wednesday.

While it's rain for the valley our local mountains have a Winter Weather Watch in place for Monday and lasting through Wednesday.

Snowfall totals could be as high as 2 feet depending on the elevation.

Temperatures will also dip during the week with highs in the 60's Starting Monday and lasting through the week.
