This year the drive gave out 300 turkeys, alongside extra donated by additional drives, for Charlottesville families’ Thanksgiving dinner tables.
Volunteers and teen team members began the day with a planting lesson before spreading through Woolen Mills, Fifeville, and surrounding blocks.
The law requires drivers to yield the right of way and slow down for any vehicles stopped on the side of the road with hazard lights or emergency signals.
Cooler temperatures along with some cloud cover will be the trend today. Small waves of energy arrive Tuesday and Wednesday.
