AAA reminds drivers of Virginia’s ‘Move Over’ law

A community giveback held Saturday gave away free items for the community in time for the holiday season.

This year the drive gave out 300 turkeys, alongside extra donated by additional drives, for Charlottesville families’ Thanksgiving dinner tables.

The spaces are designed for online purchases, custody exchanges, or any other situation where meeting in public adds more safety.

Volunteers and teen team members began the day with a planting lesson before spreading through Woolen Mills, Fifeville, and surrounding blocks.

One local farm in Penn Laird, Virginia, now home of Myer’s Pumpkins and Myer’s Highland Cow Farmstead, is creating new traditions of its own.
