(Meredith) – A 25-year-old woman with a concealed carry permit shot and killed a man attempting to rob her at a Chicago bus stop, police said.

The 19-year-old suspect approached the woman around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday and tried to rob her at gunpoint, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Police said the woman then pulled out her weapon and fired one shot, striking him in the neck. The man ran off but was found a block away and taken to Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not identified the 19-year-old, but an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday as the investigation continues.

good for her! hope things turn out ok for her as well. the man that shot a teenage robber in Wichita ks few weeks ago was a brave man as well. 4 teens tried robbing store, all armed and a good armed citizen put end to it. need more folks like that.

But now the down side of the shooting begins.
No justice even for victims forced to defend themselves.
