(WCPO/CNN/Meredith) -- A decade-long search for a Kentucky teenager is over.

Deputies have found the remains of Paige Johnson. She went missing in Covington in September of 2010 when she was 17.

The family is relieved to get some closure, but questions still remain about Johnson's disappearance. They spent the last 10 years desperately trying to find out what happened to Paige.

Her mother Donna Johnson said it is good to know her daughter isn’t “out there alone anymore.”

“I’ve been wanting to bring my baby home for so long and now I get to,” Donna said.

The Clermont County Sheriff's Office found Paige’s remains Sunday near Williamsburg township and are still searching the area for more clues.

The spot is just two miles from a location where investigators originally searched for her body.

Police say they do not have a possible cause of death right now but are following all possible leads.

Johnson's family hopes finding Paige's remains can get them closer to the answers they're searching for.
