(Meredith) -- Move over chicken and waffles, KFC is releasing a new sweet and savory menu item.

The fast-food chain announced it will start selling its "Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donut" sandwich on Feb. 24 at locations nationwide.

Customers can also order a basket of chicken tenders with two glazed doughnuts on the side, if they'd prefer that over a sandwich.

"Chicken & Donuts is the newest fried chicken trend we’re bringing to all of America," said Andrea Zahumensky, KFC's chief marketing officer. "But not just any donut would do. Only a donut that’s glazed-to-order and served piping hot every single time can stand next to our hand-breaded fried chicken. It’s a finger lickin’ good dish filled with glaze and glory."

The new menu item will be available until March 16 or while supplies last.
