(Meredith) -- Good grief! For the first time since its premiere in 1966, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" won't be broadcast on national TV.

Instead, AppleTV+ will now exclusively stream the show and other Charlie Brown holiday specials, according to a press release.

That's right -- that means "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" will also not be airing on broadcast TV, but will exclusively be available on AppleTV+.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

The Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween, with Linus hoping that he will finally be visited by The Great Pumpkin; while Charlie Brown is invited to a Halloween party by mistake in "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

But if you're not a subscriber to AppleTV+, don't get too upset yet -- the Charlie Brown specials will be available to even non-subscribers for free during a limited time window.

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" will be available for AppleTV+ subscribers starting Oct. 19, and it will be available for free to non-subscribers from Oct. 30-Nov. 1.

"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" will begin streaming on AppleTV+ for subscribers on Nov. 18, and it will be available to non-subscribers for free from Nov. 25-27.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" originally aired in 1973.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" will begin streaming on AppleTV+ for subscribers on Dec. 4, and it will be available to non-subscribers for free from Dec. 11-13.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" originally aired in 1965.

AppleTV+ is aiming to be the home of all "Peanuts"-related content. The streaming service is premiering new, original specials to celebrate other holidays, including Earth Day, New Year's Eve and more.

And if you're not keen on streaming, this is the time when still having your VHS player and your Charlie Brown VHS tapes will pay off!
