NORTH LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- North Las Vegas police identified a 17-year-old suspect involved in the shooting that left 11-year-old Angie Erives dead.
Erin Hines, 17, was arrested on Nov. 1 after he was found by officers near the scene of the shooting. He was originally held as a juvenile before being tried as an adult.
According to Hines' arrest report, a witness told police he saw multiple people shooting, although official details of Hines' role were not immediately clear.
Hines admitted to police he was driving the car and that Guy Banks, the suspected shooter, was in the passenger seat. There were three other people in the car, police said.
Hines told police he was in a gang and the purpose of the shooting was to "settle a beef" related to another recent shooting.
He told police he didn't want to shoot so he was asked to drive. Banks is accused of shooting dozens of rounds into the home.
North Las Vegas Justice Court records show Hines was charged with three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit murder.
Hines is scheduled to appear in North Las Vegas Justice Court on Nov. 21, court records show.
