A student brought a loaded handgun to Sierra Vista High School Tuesday, according to Clark County School District Police.

Juvenile parole and probation officers found the .45 caliber gun Tuesday morning, when conducting a random search as part of the student's parole, police said.

Bringing the gun to school violated the student's parole orders and the student was arrested. Police said there was no threat to the school.
