Las Vegas Metropolitan police said they arrested a 34-year-old man who impersonated a police officer to coerce women into performing sexual acts.

Metro police identified the suspect as Jesus Carvajal. He was arrested on several charges, including sexual assault with a deadly weapon, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault with a deadly weapon, three accounts of kidnapping and three counts of impersonating a public officer.

Witnesses told police Carvajal had a badge, a gun, handcuffs, a knife and a radio.

According to police, Carvajal would approach the victims near downtown Las Vegas "to participate in sexual acts." If a woman got into his vehicle or discussed a price for "a sexual act," Carvajal would identify himself as an undercover officer. He would then threaten the victims with arrest if they didn't comply with his orders, police said.

Police said they received four reports since June 28 that helped lead to Carvajal's arrest on Thursday. Detectives from Metro said they believe there may be more victims.

Anyone with any information regarding this case, or any possible additional victims, are urged to contact LVMPD's Gang/Vice Bureau at 702-828-3455. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
