UPDATE (JUNE 25): The Nevada Highway Patrol is still investigating the Wednesday night crash that resulted in the death of one man who was riding a motorcycle. 

Daylon Lamar Bernstine, 30 years old from Las Vegas, died from injuries sustained in the crash. His death marks the 23rd fatality for the NHP in 2020. 

Authorities say Bernstine was driving at high speed when he ran a red light and collided with the side of a vehicle. He was transported to UMC Trauma Center, where he died. 

Investigators have confirmed that the motorcycle Bernstine was driving, a 2018 blue Yamaha model, has been reported stolen. The crash remains under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY (JUNE 24): LAS VEGAS (FOX5)-- Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating a crash that killed a person on a motorcycle Wednesday evening.

Troopers were called to the area of U.S. 95 and Ann Road for a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

Southbound U.S. 95 at the Ann Road off ramp is closed while the investigation continues.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
