Man sentenced in 2016 murder

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- A driver suffered a medical episode before crashing in the west valley early Monday morning, Las Vegas Metropolitan police said.

Officers were called to the 11000 block of Jamberry Mountain Court, near West Charleston Boulevard, at 3:10 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a van had hit the curb and rolled onto the sidewalk.

The van caused minimal stucco damage to a nearby residence, Las Vegas police said. The driver, later identified by the Clark County coroner as Morey Lester Schwartz, 68, was found slumped over and officers performed medical aid. Schwartz was transported to Summerlin Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The coroner's office determined Schwartz had died from natural causes.
