UPDATE: Attorneys for Raiders running back Josh Jacobs say that Jacobs is being charged with failure to exercise due care after a crash on Jan. 4.
A statement from attorneys David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld on Monday also clarified that Jacobs never was charged with driving under the influence.
"Contrary to early media reports, Josh was never charged with a DUI. After an extensive review of evidence, the Clark County District Attorney's office filed a complaint this morning only charging Jacobs with failure to exercise due care," the statement said.
ORIGINAL STORY (JAN. 4): LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was arrested Monday morning on a DUI charge, according to Las Vegas police.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police confirmed that Jacobs was booked Jan. 4 in connection with a crash around 4:40 a.m. at the McCarran Airport tunnel near Sunset Road. Police said the crash involved one vehicle and that impairment was suspected.

Jacobs' lawyers said he plans on pleading not guilty.
"No complaint has been filed against our client and there are no blood test results to support a suggestion of impairment," lawyers David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said in a statement. "We intend to enter a not guilty plea on behalf of Mr. Jacobs if he is ever charged."
It was not immediately clear if Jacobs had just returned to Las Vegas from Denver, where the Raiders defeated the Broncos, 32-31, in their final NFL regular season game. That was less than 12 hours before the 4:43 a.m. crash.
“The Raiders are aware of the situation involving Josh Jacobs,” team spokesman Will Kiss said in a statement. “The organization takes these matters seriously and we have no further comment at this time.”
According to court records, Jacobs was released from police custody Monday. His next court appearance is set for March 8.
