North Las Vegas Fire

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- The North Las Vegas Fire Department said a church caught fire late Friday night.

The department was called about 10:30 p.m. to the Greater Most High Church at 2717 York Street, near MLK Boulevard and Carey Avenue.

Smoke from the one-story church led to heavy smoke and fire in the church's kitchen. The fire was out in about 20 minutes.

Officials said the worship area had minimal damage. The fire wasn't suspicious, according to the preliminary investigation.

Damage was estimated to be about $125,000.
