The stars were out in full force at the NHL Awards Wednesday: a hockey who’s who, from all stars, to Bark-Andre Furry, to the Golden Knights themselves, all walking the red carpet in Las Vegas for one special night.
“It’s great to have these guys be recognized for their hard work and to their city,” Golden Knights owner, Bill Foley said.
Out of the rink and out of their element, Coach Gallant and his guys were all smiles when the NHL Awards show hit the Hard Rock.
“It’s a huge honor to be here, to see the other guys; it’s fun,” 2018 Lady Byng Award winner, William Karlsson said.
Fun was on full display.
“It was incredible to see in their first season reach the Stanley Cup Final. It was surreal," Las Vegas headlining ventriloquist Terry Fator said. "I think I had something to do with it, I’m good luck, you think so? I think so,” Fator's puppet "said."
“With the Golden Knights, they created magic, so I’m chasing the Knights, because I’d love to be part of the magic,” actor and comedian Jim Belushi said.
Wonder Woman was also seen on the red carpet. The Washington Capitals fan Lynda Carter said it was nerve-racking watching her team take on the Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final.
“I was really worried. I thought, 'Man those bookies are really after us, haha. No, I’m just teasing, that’s not true,” the actress, Carter, said.
The NHL Awards are a time to look back on the season that was, but for the Golden Knights owner, he had one clear message for his team moving forward.
“My goal is to win,” Foley said. “My goal is to get better next year and we’re focused on that right now, and we’re going to work hard at doing that.”
