Las Vegas police investigate a homicide at Palms Place in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021.

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- Two women were found dead inside a hotel room near the Las Vegas Strip Tuesday afternoon.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Homicide Lt. Ray Spencer, two Black adult females were located deceased inside a hotel room with gunshot wounds in the 4300 block of West Flamingo Road near Arville Street, the location of Palms Place Hotel & Spa.

When the hotel guests had not checked out of their rooms and a security latch prevented hotel staff from entering, maintenance was called to the scene to open the door.

A note left in the room indicated a possible romantic connection between the victims, Spencer said, and the scene looked like an apparent murder-suicide, but any other details were too early to determine.

The women are believed to be in their mid-to-late 30s.

This is an ongoing investigation.

One was vaccinated and one wasn't. So whom shot who first?
