LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- Las Vegas police said one person was killed in a crash in the southeast valley on Wednesday. 

About 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 24, police responded to the crash at Russell Road and Stephanie Street. The crash involved a white Ford Escape and a white Chevrolet Silverado.

Lt. Bret Ficklin with LVMPD said a 29-year-old woman was speeding in the truck, according to witnesses. A 52-year-old woman, later identified as Sara Scow-Sanell, was passing in the Escape when the truck went left of the center median and hit the Escape. She died at the scene. Her death was ruled an accident by the Clark County Coroner's Office.

The driver of the truck was taken to Sunrise Hospital. 

The intersection of Stephanie and Russell was been shut down.
