Each year, more than 8,000 students seek assistance for things like clothing and school supplies from Assistance League Las Vegas’ Operation School Bell, a program offering aid for at-risk K-12 students. It’s estimated that more than 12,000 students in the greater Las Vegas area are in need of this type of assistance. Skye Canyon is hosting a back-to-school supply drive benefiting Operation School Bell July 15 – 22, 2019. Donations can be dropped off at Skye Center (10111 W. Skye Canyon Park Dr.) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.Donors receive a voucher for a specialty Starbuckscoffee from Skye Bistro. As part of its Skye Serves program, Skye Canyon will match all donations.

Assistance League Las Vegas is an all-volunteer organization that has served the Las Vegas community for over 40 years. The nonprofit’s 400 members volunteer more than 48,000 hours per year to support local families with an emphasis on helping children in need. Operation School Bell, its signature program allows K-12 students to “shop” for brand new clothing and other items needed for school.
