Vince Sapienza joined the FOX5 family in July of 2016 as the weekend sports anchor and a weekday reporter.
Vince comes to Las Vegas after spending four years in Tri-Cities, Washington. Starting out covering news and sports, Vince was soon promoted to sports director at KEPR-TV, and not too long after he was voted Tri-Cities “People's Choice for Best Sportscaster” in 2015 and 2016, also earning recognition for his work by the Society of Professional Journalists.
A graduate of Chapman University in Orange, California, Vince is a West Coast native and is thrilled to be closer to family. Vince and his wife, Briana, are expecting their first child this fall.
Vince loves being with family, finding a good place to eat, covering sports and telling stories.

The Golden Knights are Stanley Cup playoff spectators, instead of participants for the first time in franchise history and are now in the process of self-reflection, as they begin what will be their longest offseason in existence. The Golden Knights loss to New Jersey Monday night is being looked at as one of the worst results of the season, after being unable to earn any points on home ice against the 27th ranked Devils. The 3-2 loss was Vegas’ second straight and third defeat in their last four games. Monday night proved to be a huge gut punch to a franchise on the verge of missing the postseason for the first time.

The Golden Knights are back at T-Mobile Arena Monday night for the start of their final regular season homestand, when they play host to the New Jersey Devils. The VGK are coming off their 7th shutout loss of the season, to put that in perspective, Vegas had only been blanked a combined 12 times in their first four seasons of the franchise. Not scoring goals this time of year is frustrating, but dropping points at this stage is downright devastating for a Golden Knights team currently on the outside of the playoff picture and on the verge of missing the postseason for the first time in team history.
