Tom Durian

Tom Durian anchors the evening newscasts at FOX5.

He comes to Las Vegas from Milwaukee, WI where he anchored mornings at the NBC affiliate. For nearly a decade, Tom covered the headlines in Brew City. He field anchored the station's coverage of the 2020 Democratic National Convention, the 2023 Republican Presidential Debate and the 2024 Republican National Convention, all taking place in Downtown Milwaukee.

During his career, Tom has anchored in Palm Springs, CA, Spokane, WA, and Minneapolis, MN.

While in Minneapolis, Tom and the news team at KSTP earned an EMMY award for their work covering the death of popstar and Minnesota native, Prince.

Tom says one of his most memorable stories was covering the life of sailors on the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan off the coast of Mexico. Tom spent the night on the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, receiving a certificate for taking part in an "Arrested Landing" and "Catapulted Take-off" in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Tom's time at FOX5 is a return to the Southwest. He grew up in Los Angeles and studied journalism and communications at College of the Desert and UCLA.

When not at work, Tom is a car enthusiast. You'll likely find him at a Cars & Coffee event around the valley. He's looking forward to taking in all Las Vegas has to offer, from the food to the entertainment. You'll likely find him at a country music show in town. Tom is also a huge Frank Sinatra fan. He plans to research the Rat Pack's Las Vegas life. For more than 2 decades, Tom has volunteered his time with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
