Henderson police investigating murder-suicide near Grand Hills, Eastern

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - An apparent murder-suicide in Henderson has now left two people dead, police say.
Henderson Police were investigating the shooting, which occurred in the 1200 block of Imperia Drive around 9:59 a.m. on Wednesday. Arriving officers found a 74-year-old man armed with a handgun and the body of a 53-year-old woman.
After 40 minutes of attempted negotiations with officers, the man shot himself in the head and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital.
On Thursday, police stated in an update that the man died from his injuries.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
This is the third homicide within Henderson Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2025.
