Man stabbed to death after family altercation near Flamingo, Koval

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide Monday night near the Las Vegas Strip.

Police tell FOX5 it took place in the 3900 block of Koval Lane near Flamingo Road around 7:20 p.m.

Police say they responded to a call of a stabbing at an apartment complex.

A man in his 40s was taken to the hospital, where he later died. The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 47-year-old Justin Scott. Scott died from a stab wound to the left leg and his death was ruled a homicide.

Police say the incident began as an argument, which escalated to a physical fight. That’s when the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim.

Police say the suspect is in custody and witnesses are cooperating.

Police said a suspect has been taken into custody.
