Las Vegas police shoot at suspect armed with gun at Summerlin home

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating its second officer-involved shooting Friday night.
Police say the shooting happened in the 10500 block of Angel Dreams Avenue, near South Anasazi Drive and Banburry Cross Drive.
According to LVMPD, police were called to the area after a report of a person with a gun around 7:44 p.m. Dec. 30. When officers arrived, a suspect exited his home and walked toward officers while armed. One of the officers shot the suspect, LVMPD said.
The suspect was taken to University Medical Center where he later died. The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Paul M. Horn, 58, from Las Vegas. The coroner’s office said Horn died from a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a suicide.
LVMPD identified the officer who shot the suspect as Officer Larry Jones, 25. Jones has been employed with LVMPD since 2019.
