Las Vegas police: Woman found dead in apartment near Charleston, Buffalo

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex near Charleston Boulevard and Buffalo Drive Wednesday evening.
LVMPD said they received a call around 7:44 p.m. Dec. 28 from a person who found their family member unresponsive in her apartment in the 7400 block of W. Charleston Boulevard. Responding officers found the woman suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Police said the woman was dropped off at her apartment by a family member the night before. The next day, family was unable to contact the woman, so they conducted a welfare check and found her dead.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as Felicia Ann Smith, 41, from Las Vegas. Smith died from multiple sharp force injuries and her death was ruled a homcide.
