THE RANT

TOPIC: Garth Brooks Tickets

NAME: Steve

RANT: To all of those out there complaining about how the rules are for the tickets and how they should tell people ahead of time .. THEY DID! I wanted to buy some, and was unable, but before you buy, the Web site told you to read the rules first. It was clearly stated that the person who bought the tickets had to be there when entering. The whole party has to enter the theater at the same time. You couldn't pick up tickets until the day of show and Wynn reserved the right to cancel and refund tickets that it felt were obtained illegally. This is just another case of people in this country blaming somebody else for their inability to read/follow rules.

TOPIC: Wynn Concert Policy

NAME: Roger

RANT: The ID requirement is an outrage. I waited an hour on line to get 4 tickets on the terms shown on the ticket for the Jan. 24 show, only to get called the next day telling me that if I didn't identify all attendees by 10 p.m. that night, my tickets would be cancelled. The terms of sale clearly say only the person buying the tickets must be in the party and may be identified, not all those attending. I hope a class action attorney goes to work on it. I am not a reseller but had not even asked my guests to attend the show that was three months away. Ridiculous and the wrong way to solve the scalper problem!

TOPIC: Parents Suing School Over Plays

NAME: EllaRosa

RANT: Sue? Why do people always have to sue over things? If the parents don't want the plays put on, then sign a petition or even protest. But sue? So, if you win money over this, then it will be OK? This makes no sense. The parents are blabbing about it being too adult. o where does the money come in? Is the money supposed to be for mental anguish or something? Why don't we start burning books while we're at it? These plays represent issues that are real, and no amount of money is going to take that away. The parents need to grow up. I'm sure your children are very proud of you.

TOPIC: UNLV Wasted Money, Energy

NAME: Rose

RANT: It has been 4 months this year -- last year it was even longer -- that the field on Swenson and Maryland has these intense lights on all night long when there is nothing going on. We can't leave our blinds open for a breeze because the lights are blaring in all night long, besides the money it’s costing. UNLV says it’s the county and the county says it’s UNLV. And no one ever calls back as they said they would. Help, please, we live on the 7th floor for the view, not the aggravating blaring unnecessary lights that have no purpose other than using up the tax payers’ money.

TOPIC: British Tourists Not Tipping

NAME: Britmick

RANT: So the guy who slammed British tourists for coming over and saying "cheers" when he's served them and not contributing toward the bills he has to pay thinks that tourists from a background that doesn't have to justify paying their bills by other people's handouts should suddenly change their way of life to suit him? Wise up mister, if the tourists didn't come over here, you'd have no job at all! It isn't their responsibility to pay your excessive Nevada Power bills, so if you need more money, get a better job!
