Man killed in work accident in North Las Vegas identified

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

Medical examiners have identified a man killed in a machinery accident in North Las Vegas Thursday.

According to the Clark County Coroner's Office, the man was identified as 21-year-old Braden Liu. 

The North Las Vegas Fire Department said crews were dispatched to the 4100 block of North Pecos Road, near East Alexander Road at 8:57 a.m. to respond to the incident.

Liu was trapped under a large piece of equipment at a “light industrial business," the department said. 

According to fire officials, crews arrived within five minutes and proceeded to lift the equipment to get the man out. However, it was determined the man died from his injuries.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified and are investigating the incident.
