LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The National Weather Service issued a dust storm warning for east Las Vegas for Saturday morning.

The dust storm warning was issued just before 10:30 a.m. and was expected to finish at 11:30 a.m.

NWS warned drivers of low visibility on the roads. The Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue intersection in particular had very low visibility due to the dust storm. The storm mostly affected Henderson, Boulder City and Lake Mead.

According to NWS, the cause of the dust storm were storms brewing in Arizona over Lake Havasu that traveled north to the valley.

Several hundred customers in the area lost power due to the storm, according to NV Energy's power outage website. One power outage near North Stephanie Street and West Warm Springs Road affected more than 1,000 customers. NV Energy said they estimated power would be back on at around 3 p.m., but was restored at around 1 p.m.

Traffic lights at Stephanie Street and Sunset Road were reported to have been out of order. Police had to manually guide traffic through the intersection.

On East Charleston Boulevard near South Hollywood Boulevard, 50 customers were without power as of 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon. NV Energy estimated power would come back on in the area around 2:45 p.m.

According to NV Energy, roughly 10 customers were also without power near East Desert Inn Road and South Eastern Boulevard. Power was estimated to be restored at 2:30 p.m. More than 500 customers lost power near East Flamingo Road and South Maryland Parkway. Power was expected to be restored at 3:45 p.m.

By 1:30 p.m., roughly 132 NV Energy customers were without power Saturday afternoon.
