LAKE MOHAVE, NV (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's office identified the California teen who died at Lake Mohave from a possible drowning Tuesday, according to the National Park Service.

Jonathon James, 16, died July 3. He was from Imperial Beach, Cali. The cause and manner of his death were not made available at this time.

On Tuesday, the Lake Mead Interagency Communication Center was called at 6:18 p.m. about the incident at Cabinsite Cove on Lake Mohave. The National Park Service said reports show he was swimming out to a buoy and on his way back, he was seen having difficulty and went underwater.

Bystanders got him out of the water and performed CPR until park rangers and the Bullhead City Fire Department arrived.

He was not wearing a life jacket.

The park services said the incident was under investigation.
