LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas won’t be seeing a white Christmas this year, but with legal recreational marijuana, many will have their first green Christmas in the valley.

People have been flooding dispensaries all around town to buy gifts for friends and family.

“I'm seeing a lot of people for the holiday season,” store manager at The Grove Judi Hermosillo said. “Cannabis products are really good stocking stuffers.”

The Grove, along with other dispensaries throughout the valley, carried holiday themed products like snicker doodle edibles and other cake squares. They also offered holiday deals each day leading up to Christmas.

It’s why Grove worker Charles Hernandez said he is doing most of his shopping at the dispensary.

“The star killers definitely a family request,” Hernandez points out as he picks up the specific strain.

He said he’s shopping for his cousins, his mom and his grandmother at The Grove.

“Grandma for sure is asking for some,” he laughed.

Legally, people gifting marijuana may only give it to people age 21 and older. It’s also illegal to ship cannabis anywhere. For people traveling home for the holidays, cannabis is not supposed to cross state lines and is not allowed in airports.
