LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

"America’s Party 2018" will end 2017 and kick off the New Year in Las Vegas.

This year’s theme will be “Midnight in Vegas.” Mayor Carolyn Goodman said, “there is no place like Las Vegas, Nevada to throw a party.”

The party will feature headliners such as Bruno Mars, Britney Spears and The Killers in downtown and the Las Vegas Strip.

An eight-minute fireworks show by Grucci will span the Strip corridor from MGM Grand, the Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, The Venetian, and the Stratosphere for spectators to see.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority expects about 330,000 people to visit Las Vegas for the New Year holiday bringing about $420 million to the local economy.
