LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A Clark County School District police officer was injured at Arbor View High School Tuesday. 

At 7:40 a.m., the officer responded to the school near Grand Teton Drive and Buffalo Drive to break up a fight between two students. While attempting to break up the fight the officer fell. 

The officer was taken to a local hospital for observation after sustaining a head injury. 

The two girls involved in the fight will be facing criminal charges, police said.
