LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Electronic Daisy Carnival will be held one month earlier than previous years in Las Vegas.

Pasquale Rotella, the founder of EDC, announced on social media that the festival will take place on May 18th through the 20th in 2018.

Rotella said the average high temperatures of about 90 degrees and lows of 64 will allow operators to extend the hours of the festival and create a new "cosmicMEADOW lawn" featuring extended sets from artists.

The change will also help the flow of traffic in and out of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Rotella said. An independent company, that handles large music and sporting events in the country, will handle shuttle operations. Construction at the speedway will also be complete in 2018 allowing an additional travel lane for traffic.

The festival is also adding a camping program next to the speedway which will include options for an air-conditioned tent, dust-control canvas walls, and RV parking.

Tickets for the festival will go on sale on Sept. 28 at noon. Early Owl three-day general admission passes start at $325 while VIP three-day passes start at $699, before taxes and fees. Afterwards, prices increase to $340 for Wise Owl and $355 for Later Owl prices.
