Power restored to customers in east Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Almost 10,000 customers were without power in east Las Vegas Sunday morning. 

According to NV Energy, equipment failure caused an outage in the area of Sahara Avenue and Sloan Lane at about 10:30 a.m. with more than 9,700 customers affected.

The company’s website estimated power to be restored to the area at 1:15 p.m.

NV Energy updated the situation and had the power back on by 11:30 a.m. 

No further information has been released.
