NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

One person has succumbed to injuries sustained in a North Las Vegas house fire Thursday, according to the Clark County Coroner's office. Two others remain in the hospital.

Emergency personnel responded to the incident at about 7:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of St. George Street, near Civic Center Drive and Carey Avenue.

The official confirmed three people were injured in the blaze and transported to a local hospital. Friday, the coroner's office confirmed one person has died.

Jimmy Rodriguez, who was visiting a family member's home when the fire broke out, said he heard screaming and threw a brick at the window. At about the same time, fire crews were able to enter the home and remove the victims.

Rodriguez said he felt the need to help after losing his own mother a year ago.

Further details were not immediately released on the fire.
