Woman injured in random shooting at Las Vegas park

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police said they are investigating after a woman said she was shot at a park Saturday. 

The victim told police she was walking through Coleman Park just after 5 p.m., near Jones Boulevard and Vegas Drive, when she heard gunshots and ran away, police said.

Police said the victim noticed her leg was bleeding and walked to a nearby friends house to call 911. 

The victim was transported to University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. 

Police said the shooting appears to be random. 

No suspects are in custody police, said. 

The incident remains under investigation.
