Power restored to thousands in east Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

NV Energy restored power to thousands in east Las Vegas Friday after an outage left them in the dark. 

The outage was reported about 5:15 a.m. around the area of Boulder Highway between Lamb Boulevard and Russell Road, NV Energy reported.

According to the power company, by 6 a.m. power was restored to nearly 7,000 customers and just before 7:30 a.m. the power was back on for all, but a few cusotmers. The estimated time of full restoration was between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. 

The cause was listed as "equipment."
