Hundreds without power in east las vegas neighborhood after car crash

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

NV Energy said hundreds of customers are with power near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Nellis Boulevard Thursday morning. 

The cause is a "motor vehicle accident," the company said. 

More than 1,200 customers were impacted as of 3 a.m. and by 4 a.m. 600 remained without power. 

NV Energy said it hopes to have power fully restored by 12 p.m. The company originally posted it would be restored by 6 a.m.
