LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man arrested this week is accused of luring his juvenile neighbors to his east Las Vegas apartment where he allegedly committed sex acts on them.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Jose Azucena, 63, was arrested on Sunday as a suspect in a sexual misconduct investigation. Detectives last month received reports of the misconduct involving a man and several victims.

Citing a preliminary investigation, police said the reported misconduct took place over the last year at an apartment complex in the 4800 block of East Charleston Boulevard. Detectives were told a man named "David," who lived at the complex, allegedly lured children to his unit with the promise of candy.

An arrest report stated the Azucena was a longtime neighbor and the victim's referred to him has "grandfather."

In one incident, the report said Azucena restrained a child with tape and sexually assaulted her. Azucena would threaten the victim's families if they said anything.

Detectives identified Azucena as the suspect. Henderson police located Azucena in the 1200 block of South Boulder Highway on Sunday. Azucena was turned over to Metro police headquarters for an interview and his subsequent arrest.

He was booked into Clark County Detention Center on a count of kidnapping, two counts of sexual assault against a child under the age of 14, six counts of lewdness with a minor and a count of open and gross lewdness with a child under the age of 18.

Police were still seeking information and possible additional victims in the case. They urged anyone with information to contact Metro's Sexual Abuse Juvenile Section at 702-828-3421 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
