LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police said a man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting inside a mobile home community in the west part of town Sunday morning.

Police said 67-year-old Peter Caris was arrested on one count of murder with a deadly weapon for the incident in the 5100 block of Ridge Court, near Harmon Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, at 10 a.m.

Officers arrived to find a man lying in the middle of the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Citing the investigation, police said Caris and the victim knew each other. The victim went to Caris' home and the pair got into a verbal fight when Caris shot the victim several times. The argument may have been the result of an earlier encounter between Caris and a friend of the victim.

The Clark County Coroner's Office will later release the identity of the deceased.
