LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A 7-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after she was hit by a school bus in the southwest Las Vegas Valley on Thursday.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, the child was riding a bicycle in the area of Haleh Avenue and June Flower Drive, which is just off South Jones Boulevard, at 2:45 p.m. The bicyclist was hit by a school bus in the process.

The child was transported to University Medical Center Trauma with non-life threatening injuries.

There was no immediate word on what led to the collision.

A Facebook user recorded the emergency response at the scene.
