LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police are investigating an early morning shooting on a Las Vegas Strip pedestrian bridge Monday.

Officers responded to call of a shooting on the pedestrian bridge between the Cosmopolitan and Planet Hollywood hotel-casino at about 2:15 a.m.

The shooting took place after an altercation broke out on the bridge that involved three men according to Metro, where one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other two.

The shooter, only identified as a 26-year-old man by police, fired one shot and struck both of the victims. He then left the scene and was later detained by patrol officers in the Planet Hollywood parking garage according to Metro.  

Police said the two victims in this altercation were transported to the University Medical Center for treatment and are both in unknown condition.

No reports of closures were reported on the Las Vegas Strip and authorities haven't released any further information at this time.
