LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police said one person was killed in a drug-related robbery Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded just after 2 p.m. to the 6300 block of Sandpiper Way, near Torrey Pines Drive and Twain Avenue.

According to Lt. Dan McGrath, of Metro's homicide unit, arriving officers responded to a home invasion robbery call and found a man in his 30s dead inside of the home. The Clark County Coroner's office identified the man as Thomas Frank Jones.

Citing the preliminary investigation, McGrath said an altercation took place before the victim was shot. The incident appeared to be a drug-related robbery.

McGrath said the incident did not appear to be random.

Two other people were inside the home at the time of the incident, McGrath said. Police are also looking for a third person that was at the home during the incident, but left the scene.

McGrath said police are looking for two suspects. One was described as a heavy set Hispanic man. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black backpack and dark pants. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a checkered shirt and dark pants.

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
