“I have a son who’s gone, and I don’t know what to do,” Richard Findley said as his head collapsed into his hands.

Findley is heartbroken and still trying to figure out what happened inside a Siegel Suites apartment on Sunday. His seven-year-old son Ramasje was found dead inside.

“Who would do that to a 7-year-old!?” he said.

Findley says he got a text that read "emergency." So he texted back and that’s when he was told his son was dead.

According to police, officers were initially called to the apartment because of a medical emergency. But, when they got there, they found the young boy unconscious. Investigators found marks on his neck that would suggest he had been strangled.

“He was seven. He’s seven. He was just seven. He’s a baby! I don’t know what to say. I’m sorry,” Findley said.

According to police, Ramasje’s three siblings, all under the age of eight years old, were inside the apartment when the boy was killed. The children’s mother and their roommate, Kenneth Robinson, were also there. Robinson was eventually arrested for the crime.

“This is someone I never met nor knew, and he took my son!” Findley said.

FOX5 asked Findley about his relationship with the children’s mother. He said the two broke up, and the woman ran off. Findley said he did everything he could to track her and his kids down.

“I looked and looked and looked and looked, I had no location, I had no idea where she had gone,” he said.

When asked to describe his young son, Findley said Ramasje was a little boy who loved movies and ate everything with a side of ranch. Findley said his son wanted to be a policeman.

“You don’t know how to feel. You don’t know how to act. You scream, you cry.”

Robinson has been charged with first degree murder. The family has also set up a GoFundMe account to help with funeral expenses, which you can access here.
