LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Vandals targeted a local Donald Trump campaign office by egging the property near the airport.

Charles Muñoz, Nevada State Director for Trump's campaign, believes the vandals targeted the office at 110 Palms Airport Drive, near Sunset Road and Paradise Road, between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Officials and volunteers of the GOP presidential nominee arrived early Sunday morning and discovered that numerous eggs had been thrown at windows, walls and the main entrance. The sidewalk and a vehicle outside the office was also covered with eggs.

Muñoz said the office has been targeted before with people stealing signs from the front entrance, but this is the first incident that took the vandalism to another level.

“It’s sad there are people out there who take political discourse too far like this. We have volunteers who show up here, people who give their own time because they want to make a difference,” Muñoz said. “No voter should have to face such intimidation to exercise their First Amendment rights. We hope this was just a one-off incident and we’re going to continue to work hard and campaign respectfully.”

A formal police report was filed to report the vandalism. Police are investigating further. The incident coincides with Trump’s visit to Las Vegas at the Venetian and at a church.
