Union members rally with Joe Biden in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

As the countdown to the election continues, a few high profile visitors are campaigning for candidates in the Las Vegas area.

Saturday, Vice President Joe Biden stumped for Hillary Clinton at a rally at Carpenters Union 1977.

Minutes before Biden addressed the crowd of supporters a group of protesters were separated by police, but the protesters didn't compare to the number of people present to rally with the vice president.

Union members from across the country have been in Nevada for several weeks now to help their local counterparts go door-to-door, encouraging people to get out and vote for Hillary Clinton.

“Hillary is for working families,” a union member said.

Not every union member said they were pro-Hillary before hearing Biden speak.

“I would have been one of those Americans that didn’t vote,” a union member said before being influenced by Biden.

Biden also campaigned in Reno Saturday.
